Get 2 Know them: JOYRICH

I love when I find out about a new brand! As a student of fashion, I am forever learning and expanding my fashion knowledge. Last week I was on twitter, and global grind did a post about Rihanna, not sure what it was about, but she was wearing a pink leather hat with dollar signs on it? I went on a search of the designer of this hat, and I came up with JOYRICH! I had never heard of them before, but after reading about them on various websites, I soon realized I must be the only one. I love this hat and was ready to make it my first purchase but the hat was sold out in pink! Below I posted a little info about the brand (that I got from MTV.com) and some of my fav pieces from there line along with the black version of the hat (its still available @ karmaloop.com).

Keep Shining, XX ALIX

Joyrich is one of those brands that if you haven’t heard of it, you’re definitely about to and if nothing else, you’ve CERTAINLY seen it. With major presence in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Japan and, of course, here in the U.S., the label’s vibrant graphics and ultra-saturated palette are gloriously frenzied when worn head-to-toe and perfect for accent pieces as well. Plus, seriously, check out their blog if you haven’t already. Such good feedin’.

These guys in all their leopard print/studded/floral glory have caught the eye of such swagged out superstars as Nicki MinajKeri HilsonDiggy SimmonsKat Graham,Backstreet BoysSantogold, and the Black Eyed Peas just for starters. You sawKreayshawn wearing one of our fav Joyrich prints the Toile De Ville on the cover of last month’s Complex Magazine and right now you can peep Lil Wayne rocking another smash, theRich Drip hoodie from their Fall 2011 collection on the back of his new album, Tha Carter IV. MAJOR.

  1. Hey Alix I wasn’t sure if you knew there is a JOYRICH store on Melrose Ave. I love their revamped Mickey Mouse collection. The store was remodeled about a year ago or more and it looks so fun and playful. Much like the brand. I encourage everyone to see it in person and cop a few pieces you suggested.
